Just Au Pairs recognises how important it is to bring the right person into your home to be an Au Pair and look after your children and your home.
We cannot stress enough the benefits of having an au pair through a reputable agency, and Just Au Pairs follows a strict code of conduct laid down by the International Au Pairs Association and the British Au Pair Agencies Association of which we are a founder member.
The standards set by both these organisations are the highest possible and they only accept agencies that adhere to these standards.
All girls / boys placed in families by Just Au Pairs come to us through a network of over 40 reliable agents abroad.
They interview the au pairs, obtain references, medical certificates, police checks and make sure the prospective Au Pair is fully aware of her responsibilities and duties before she arrives in the UK. We do not place Au Pairs that apply to us directly or through online websites. The agents abroad with whom we work, know that Just Au Pairs only accept Au Pairs with reasonable English and families are asked to Skype/Facetime prospective Au Pairs prior to inviting them to their home.
By speaking to an Au Pair not only will a family be able to assess their English, but get to know the personality of their prospective Au Pair. When they arrive we will send them a very detailed 'welcome pack', we will also speak/email them once they arrive, and help with the settling in period, help with suitable language courses, and help to find friends, etc.
Au Pairs should be paid holiday pay of 1.66 days per month plus 8 days bank holiday. Pro-rata to their length of stay.
We recommend girls / boys are given a bonus of 1 weeks pocket money at the end of their stay. This is for Au Pairs who have completed their stay over 6 months.
Just Au Pairs offers their girls / boys the opportunity of being part of a large group of Au Pairs who can be in touch with one another by a specific Au Pair App, also an Au Pairs friends website which are both monitored and extremely safe to use. They are also invited to join us for our annual Boat Trip down the river Thames, and to take part in our Welcome Get-Together each year and to receive free a UK Sim Card. When they arrive at the home of their Host Family there is a very useful booklet to read through with many ideas, safety instructions and lots of websites to help them enjoy their stay as an Au Pair.
We offer a complete 'back-up' service to both the families and the Au Pairs.
We are always available throughout the Au Pairs stay to give advice, and mediate when needed for example, holiday pay, use of telephone, language barrier, working hours, etc.
Just Au Pairs will always give you guidelines of Au Pair duties.
